Urban legends-modern day folktales that seem to arise spontaneously
and spread by word-of-mouth-range from the silly (metal tooth
fillings receiving radio signals) to the sinister (alligators
in the sewers of Manhattan). Students at New England's Pendleton
College have an urban legend of their own- ... thirty years ago,
an abnormal psych professor allegedly killed six students and
then himself in Stanley Hall. These days, the gory incident is
acknowledged each year with an urban legends costume bash.
When a series of strange deaths occurs on campus, beautiful
and assertive student Natalie (Witt) suspects that they are murders
based on urban legends. Her classmates, loyal Brenda (Gayheart),
ambitious journalism major Paul (Leto), and school practical
joker Damon (Jackson), insist the deaths are just coincidences.
When Natalie gets too close to discovering how the deaths are
connected, she realizes she's the killer's next victim. (from
