Based on
master thriller writer John le Carré's 1996 novel, The
Tailor of Panama is a subtle mixture of thriller and black comedy
directed by Academy Award® nominee John Boorman (Deliverance)
and starring Pierce Brosnan (The World is Not Enough, The Thomas
Crown Affair), Academy Award® winner Geoffrey Rush (Shine,
Shakespeare In Love) and Jamie Lee Curtis (A Fish Called Wanda).
Geoffrey Rush stars as Harry Pendel, Cockney ex-con-turned-popular
tailor to the rich and powerful of Panama. Harry is known for
his storytelling as well as his suits, but this time, his tales
carry lethal repercussions. Preyed upon by ruthless, charming
British spy Osnard (Pierce Brosnan), Harry spins a yarn that
is not only taken as truth, but inadvertently sets off a chain
of events that threatens everything he values most in life.
