 Animated fantasy based on the
children's book "Shrek!" by William Steig. Shrek (Mike
Myers) is a hideous green monster, so ugly that his own parents
can't stand the sight of him. That doesn't bother Shrek,who has
a very healthy self-esteem and is not bothered by his appearance.
Shrek is content with his lot in life until he has to save a
Princess (Cameron Diaz), resulting in a wacky quest. Eddie Murphy
plays his sidekick Donkey.
