Quite a screen debut for
Julie Andrews. As the new nanny Mary Poppins, Julie Andrew's
character is one of the more memorable in children's films. Dick
Van Dyke plays a cockney speaking, singing and dancing chimney
sweep (and Mary Poppin's sweetheart). This combination of live
action and animation is very fun and the music numbers are some
of the best.
