Kubrick's masterful satire on crime and punishment in the ultra-violent
future. Excellent performance by Malcolm McDowell as Alex DeLarge,
the murderous leader of a quartet of "droogs", a vicious
group of misfits who revel in fighting, stealing, and raping
women. Alex is later captured and reprogrammed by the equally
sadistic government. Even by today's standards the scenes of
violence seem way over the top. Based on the novel by Anthony
Burgess.
