Eddie Murphy plays
Axel Foley, a street-smart Detroit cop who takes vacation time
to go to L. A. to track down an old friend's killers. While there,
he finds that that the Beverly Hills cops are much different
and by the book than his counterparts in Detroit and he has much
fun making fun of the situations and the culture. Cast includes
Judge Reinhold and John Ashton as Beverly Hills policemen assigned
to watch Murphy's character and Bronson Pinchot as a hilarious
gay art gallery worker. Directed by Martin Brest.
